What will remove rust from my stainless steel bowl?

I have a 20 qt mixer bowl for my Hobart. It has a unfettered amount of rust at the bottom of the bowl. Can that be removed? With what? Is it safe?

try lemon power and fine steel wool, ive never had anything stainless steel rust before. also try a ceramic stove top cleaner.
