KitchenAid Mixer problem

I bought a kitchenaid mixer in the us. i brought it over to Israel and tried to get it working using a converter from 220 volts to 110. The mixer burned out when i tried to use it.???????????????????????????????

The motor didn't like the 50Hz AC voltage nearby there. The transformer you bought changes the voltage form 220 to 110 but it does nothing for the frequency.
