Just bought a Kitchenaid pro 600 mixer, tell me what you know about it and any mixer hints and tips or recipes?

According to the directions that came with my Larder Aid mixer, I should use the direct paddywhack to procure my pie dough.

However, I have also infer from that the wire whisk cuts the shortening into the flour bigger.

I have always made my pie dough by offer distribute, freezing the shortening into the flour with a pastry blender. But I dearth to try it with my mixer. Which attachment do you use? Do you reccommend the mixer over the old mode method?

I dunno I’ve never made pie dough in my KA mixer I’ve always acquainted with the processor and pulsed it.
