How can you get a GE Profile Range oven to unlock?

After the cleaning rotation, our GE Profile model number PB 970 will not unlock even though it has cooled fully. It has been over twelve hours since the D ended.

How in the globe do I get the magnifying glass top off this cooktop. I've bewitched every constrain out and it still won't afflicted with off. It's keep calm, but the end where the brush controls are seems to be held down by something interior. I found the ribbon wire that comes from the subside box power lodge meeting was folded over and pinched between the box and the stove bottom. I don't notion of this standard of ribbon wiring is intended to be folded over and pinched. Anyway I have the pane casual from the form but I can't get it off the put one's feet up of the way. Is the eyeglasses plugged into something that it will upon off of with some wiggling? Thanks
