Bisect the ball and set one half aside. delight in out the other half with a rolling pin until it’s thin enough to be processed through the widest mounting of the pasta machine’s membrane roller. unfold it through a few times, folding it in half and re-rolling it until it's a proper rectangle-ish govern, then reset the roller to whatever thickness you miss your pasta and fodder it through again. (for my fettuccine i utilized the third-to-last mise en scene, and for thin spaghetti i inured to the last/thinnest placement). copy for the other half of the dough.
