range hood installation height?

I pulled out the cabinents above my stove to advertise up my kitchen as it was all boxed in. I am now ready to replace the range hood, but want to set it higher then it was. I have a height powered RECIRCULATING type. Not a direct vent. What is the zenith

A recirculating release doesn't really do much good. The filter in it may remove a hardly bit of the grease vapors, but most of it is blown back into the room. And it won't remove any smells.
