We recently purchased a KitchenAid smoothtop convection oven and one day out of the crestfallen one of the elements broke. It no longer gets hot or warm for that import. The other three elements work fine. Any idea why or how to fix?

Let's contemplate it is still under warranty. You can check where you bought it. If that doesn't help, get the replica number off it and do an Internet search on Kitchen Aid and the model sum up. There should be a "contact us" spot there.
