Can you replace a stove with downdraft with a regular stove?
We're about to put in place of an old Jenn-Air (modular top type, with center downdraft) stove/oven. We have done this before in our old residence and spent the money for a new Jenn-Air. Is this necessary, or can we use a regular stove without a downdraft?
You will still requirement a vent for your stove. Covering up the old hole would not be the problem. You need to induct an overhead hood for your new stove however. Depending on what you get, some of the hoods don't call for exterior venting, and
