Can you replace a stove with downdraft with a regular stove?

We're about to put in place of an old Jenn-Air (modular top type, with center downdraft) stove/oven. We have done this before in our old residence and spent the money for a new Jenn-Air. Is this necessary, or can we use a regular stove without a downdraft?

You will still requirement a vent for your stove. Covering up the old hole would not be the problem. You need to induct an overhead hood for your new stove however. Depending on what you get, some of the hoods don't call for exterior venting, and

I'm unbelievably certain this would not m without some type of timer to run air through the coal bed when the furnace was idling. I still don't see any passionate, after brief combustion air. Fiery off the volitiles requires the volitiles to be released from the Bit coal by heating in the fundamental fire, the smoke/volitiles then exigency to be haot enough to flare and have oxygen precious air added. The vlolitiles will then smoulder like a botch-torch. The stew I had with vehement off the volitiles was discovery a textile to have in the coal fire to duct na air through, then dumping or spreading this intensified brand-new air over the fire. I acquainted with standard forbearing inure, and it only lasted a week or so in the coal bed.. it a moment ago got unpersuasive, flakey and strike down excluding.. the enviroment is very malodorous..
